Scouting Badge Workshops |

| Laurel Street Arts has created a clay workshop to assist
scouts in obtaining badges relating to clay, ceramics, hobbies and arts. Our
workshop (developed by a scouting mom) includes: |

Instruction about the various
types of clay, molds and glazes; |
|
Discussing possible jobs and
hobbies using ceramics skills; |
|
Making a clay project - the
scouting group may choose between the pinch, coil or slab methods of working
with clay; |
|
Learning about the glazing and
firing of clay, greenware and bisque; and |
|
Touring our kiln room. |
Our workshop takes two visits, each approximately 1.5 hours and at
least 2 weeks apart. The cost is $25 per person. Scout leaders are welcome to
participate. Reservations are required.
